What Could God Be Saying To Us Pt 2*
Viruses mutate. Just like us, these microbes carry a survival instinct.
Just that now, it is their survival against ours, and time isn’t really on our side, unless we are willing to consider that this protracted disruption may be a summons to rethink all of life.
And rethinking how we see and do life, is indeed a most natural human activity that ensures our survival.
This is why humans have philosophy.
It is also why civilisations that fail to reckon with the deeper signs of the times eventually face demise.
The last letter in the Greek alphabet is Omega. We are at Delta. It isn’t the end.
The end unfolds with what we decide today. Will we use this disruption to listen to our souls, each other, study our systems, and employ our generative energies to redesign our lives and our world?
This is hard, and most of us are not used to it, what with how we associate life with hard slog and swift escape from it whenever we can.
It is also challenging precisely because this Pandemic has left us feeling an existential reality we mask with our efficiency, productivity and other proclivites: we have limited power.
